Sophie Bawks-Smith
Sophie Bawks-Smith grew up on Quadra Island before establishing herself as a performer in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her journey began early, with local theatre productions where she sang, danced, and acted, quickly moving into principal, supporting, and lead roles across both stage and screen.
Her on-screen work includes starring roles in director Avalon Fast’s earlier short films *Night Trouble* and *Violets Bloom in April*. More recently, she took on the lead role of Willow in Fast’s feature film debut, *Honeycomb*.
Known for her professionalism and creative approach, Sophie brings deep dedication to each character she inhabits. Directors have consistently praised her for reliably memorizing and perfecting her lines.
Working on *Honeycomb* gave Sophie a new appreciation for the filmmaking process, both in front of and behind the camera. Though screen acting remains her primary passion, she is eager to explore other facets of the industry. She looks forward to returning to the screen and building upon the skills she has developed through her growing body of work.
